Papers must be no longer than 4 pages, double-spaced, and formatted based on the American Psychological Association style manual (6th edition). This 4 page limit does not include the reference page(s). The format for this literature review/synthetic review paper will vary depending on your specific topic and purpose. I recommend that you review examples in the rehabilitation counseling literature to get ideas about which format and style will work best for your project. The assignment MUST, however, include the following components: 1. 1 to 3 introductory paragraphs that include the following elements (see examples below): a. A statement in 1-3 sentences identifying the issue or question and why it is important in Rehabilitation Counseling. b. A statement of purpose. c. A statement of the proposed organization of the paper, or “advanced organizer” 2. Major section headings (properly formatted according to APA style- See APA manual, chapter 3, sections 3.02 and 3.03). 3. A brief conclusion in which you summarize the literature and your position. 4. References (APA style reference page with at least 10 references required)
