On September 11, 2001 terrorists attacked the citizens of the United States of America. 9/11 policy ensured some innocent Americans freedom, but because of policy change the American government can jail Americans indefinitely without a trial. True indeed, the American government is combating terrorist; however not even most of the illicit policy enacted post 9/11 was for that purpose. The fact that before there was no facts, only speculation and fear, should be an even greater motivator to resist against a rising totalitarian state. Protection of Civil Liberties and Privacy.
