Research Paper The purpose of this project is to familiarize students with basic access and search techniques that are available for topic searches on the World Wide Web, Digital Resources, and traditional print media sources. This paper is due Wednesday, December 9 at NOON. Criteria for Topic Selection: Students may select their topic for this assignment from the Reformers List and Reformers Power Point available online in Blackboard UNIT 4. Any topic not specifically listed in either of these two documents should be submitted to the instructor for approval before beginning their research and writing for this assignment. Format for written work: 1) Use a cover page for your paper that includes the following: a. Title b. Student’s name c. Course and Number (HIST 1301 Sec XYXYX) d. Date the paper is submitted 2) The body of the paper should be double-spaced, using a standard 12-point font with 1-inch margins. Good composition skills should be used with topic sentences, well-developed paragraphs and conclusions. 3) All work should be proof read for spelling and grammatical accuracy. 4) Length of the paper should be 3 to 4 pages including the body of the paper and a Works Cited Page. Information you paper should contain: 1) Introductory paragraph to introduce the reader to your topic, why you selected this topic, and an overview of where you found information contained in the paper (the Web sites you used in your research). 2) Write a vignette (tell the reader what you found out about your topic and why is is important). [This is the body of your paper; 3 to 4 paragraphs.] 3) Conclusions and analysis of materials [closing/concluding paragraph] a.
