How are various qualities of particular foods, or the manner in which they are served and consumed, claimed to be emblematic of particular elements within a culture? How is contrast with other groups emphasised? Through a variety of axes (familiar/exotic; edible/inedible; palatable/unpalatable) how are boundaries between groups maintained and how are they (purposefully) transgressed? Format:

My paper must have accredited SCIENTIFIC source, but may use other resources in addition, but you must include scientific research. Introduction to my paper should contain a few sentences about genetics/genetic disorders and the rest should be written about cystic fibrosis. I need 5 pages of written material and the 6th page should contain work cited section (all sources noted. Paper has to be typed double spaced, 12 point font, standard margins, MLA form. In text citation for all direct quotes and ideas (when in doubt cite the work). My paper will be checked for plagiarism by my professor.
