Describe Comparison Essay: Medea vs. Dido.

Hello, I need a comparison essay for my world literature English class. Please kindly find a copy of the assignment requirements below for your convenience. Topic: Pick a specific character and compare that character to another. **I have chosen Euripides’ “Medea” and Virgil’s “Dido.”** Incorporate research into your essay using at least four sources, and they must include at least 1 book, an interview, lecture, or video on the topic; an article that you received from the universities library database (which I can incorporate in the essay myself once it is received). Remember: Don’t just make claims about the writings. Back up your viewpoints by answering the “why” question and by using specific quotes from the texts. Things You Need to Do: 1. Explain any assertions that you make. Background on authors is not necessary. 2. Include brief quotes from each writing. 3. Quotes may come from the written works as well as the additional sources used. 4. Have a creative title 5. Provide a Works Cited Page (The primary source by which the texts: Medea and The Aeneid come from is The Norton Anthology of World Literature. All quotes deriving from the texts themselves need to be cited as a work in anthology from this book.) 7. Avoid narration. My professor knows what the writings are about. Focus on the significance of what the writings have to say. Special Instructions: 1. Italicize the thesis statement. Format and Length Requirements: 1. Use 12-point Times New Roman Font 2. Type, Double-Space and Number the pages throughout (follow the guidelines for MLA format). 3. The essay must be at least 5 pages long excluding the works cited page. Translators: Medea: Translated by Diane Arnson Svarlien The Aeneid: Translated by Robert Fagles. Thank you.
