According to the National Crime Prevention Council(1999), community policing have six major points in common:1. Health of the community: Both community policing and crime prevention acknowledge the many interrelated issues that generate crime. Physical and social issues: Community policing and crime prevention both acknowledge that crime-causing situations can arise out of physical as well as social problems in the community. Prevention of crime is a concept that includes policing but goes far beyond it to empower the whole community.
